In a series called “Studio Hops”, local artists and makers were invited to host classes and demonstrations in various mediums, sharing their skills and helping participants reflect on their creative experiences inside and outside the makerspace. This series encouraged us all to consider what it could be like to have all of these artists, and access to a variety of tools, mediums and skill-bases under one roof. We compiled an archive of visual art, including crafts made in the makerspace depicting the community's vision and learning experiences. Lessons learned from this series are helping us to shape the design of the future space.
